Will the Real Leaders Please Stand Up?

Yesterday we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. As we mark this momentous occasion, and look back on it today, Veterans Day, we must ask ourselves: Where have all our leaders gone?

Where is the Jon Kennedy, who stood at The Brandenburg Gate and promised to fight communism around the world.

Where is Ronald Reagan, who told Mr. Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall and brought an end to the Soviet Union without firing a shot.

If we are stuck with Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Sarah Palin, we are in serious trouble!

Thanks to All Our Veterans

On this Veterans Day, we thank all of our Veterans who have risen to the call of duty and defended freedom all over the world. Although you may not feel loved by many members of our society, please know that there are millions of Americans who truly appreciate your sacrifice and dedication to a noble cause.

Gore Turns Hot Air into Mega Dough; Wait, Doesn’t Printing Money Kill Trees Which Increases CO2 Emissions?

Our friend Al Gore is in the news again. This time, the nobel laureate is being questioned over his involvement in a deal at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, the most prestigious Venture Capital firm in Silicon Valley, where Gore is a partner. One of KPCB’s portfolio companies, in the green energy division, which Gore is a partner in, just scored a huge half billion dollar government contract. Now, we have nothing against good old fashioned capitalism. Most VC firms hire ex politicians and influential leaders because it helps them attract business for their portfolio companies, through influence and connections. Colin Powell is a strategic partner at this  same firm. It’s really smart of KPCB to hire people like Gore as partners, because what better way to score corrupt government contracts, then to hire a pompous blowhart who was second in command of the federal government? We think the biggest problem people have with this is that Gore stands to make millions as a consequence of some overly hyped documentary full of questionable science and bogus facts.

In many ways, Al Gore reminds us of Michael Moore. Both make fictional documentaries, are wacked out, completely full of themselves, fat, filthy rich, and hypocritical. After all, when you are a liberal, the worst thing you can do is tell everyone how rich and successful you are, because liberals whole political philosophy is based on complaining about how slighted they are in a capitalistic society, even though they are so well educated and sophisticated.

Americans Fed up With Those in Power

In a healthy democracy it is normal for those in power, no matter the party, to be swept out of office every few election cycles, to make room for the other party. The thinking is that politicians are inherently corrupt and bureaucratic, so every 4 or 8 years the people get fed up with the party in power, and vote for regime change.

What is incredible about this election cycle is that it has barely been a year since the Democrats swept into power nationally, and we are already seeing huge discontent, especially in the independent ranks. Granted, yesterday’s results in New Jersey and Virginia were also  a vote against any incumbent, regardless of party, and the Democrats happen to be in power.

But we believe this is a huge turning point for the Obama administration. Up until this point, Obama’s team has scapegoated all of his missteps on Bush. Now we are starting to see people saying “wait a second, that’s not going to fly any more.” One year into his presidency, the blame Bush for everything strategy of the Democrats has really worn thin.

1990 Disgraceful Pages

How many adjectives do we need to use to sum up this 2,000 page piece of garbage healthcare bill drafted by the Democrats behind closed doors?

How about AWFUL, DISGRACEFUL, PATHETIC, USELESS, RIDICULOUS, BULLSH*T for starters.

This bill is all that is wrong with Congress, politicians and bureaucracy as a whole. It would take 10 Harvard Law professors a full week to decipher anything meaningful in this piece of toilet paper. Which reminds us. After the Dems are done with their masterpiece, we have a place for it, in the third floor bathroom stall of our office.

The Recession is Over….NOT!

Have you all heard? The recession is officially over!

Well, that’s what the politicians want you to think. Even with 10% unemployment, forthcoming inflation, and a worthless currency, we had positive GDP growth last quarter, so hey, all is good!

Over the next few months you will hear a lot of talk from Obama and his dream team of economic advisors, exclaiming how smart they were to “spend us out of the recession.” Here is a top 10 list of what you can bet to hear:

10. I told you so.

9. It’s Keynesian economics at its finest

8. Those greedy bastards on Wall Street created this mess and the great White Knight, Government, cleaned it up

7. You see, you have to spend your way out of a recession

6. Business is the devil

5. The government is the only path to prosperity

4. Socialize the entire economy now! It works!

3. Time to chalk up some more trillion dollar backroom spending plans

2. Spending trillions on healthcare reform is the key to economic recovery. The system is broken and government will fix it, just like it fixed the economy.

1. Spending trillions on climate change is the key to future economic prosperity. The environment is broken and government will fix it, just like it fixed healthcare.

8 Years Later, Afghanistan Spinning Out of Control

A day after 11 US troops were killed in helicopter crashes in Afghanistan, 8 more serviceman were killed today in a bomb attack. October is now the deadliest month in this 8 year war for US troops! Where does it end? What is our strategy?

Even 3rd World Leaders Aren’t This Arrogant

It seems like many people agree with our assertion the other day, that it feels like we are living in Venezuela these days, as opposed to America. Wesley Pruden, editor emeritus of The Washington Times, had a blistering critique of Obama’s fight with Fox News today, arguing that it’s something straight out of a 3rd world country, and that the White House better get a grip on American history. Read this snippet and enjoy:

Mr. Obama and his White House can’t seem to get their brains around the fact that the election of ‘08 is over, and he won. A candidate feeds on red meat, but a president is the president of everyone, and must set a different table. Mr. Obama campaigned with promises of a post-racial, post-partisan, post-rancor administration, and millions of Americans responded with enthusiasm. The candidate who said he took inspiration from Abraham Lincoln of Illinois now acts as if he takes inspiration from the distinguished statesmen of the Third World, where press opposition to the leader is usually a bloody no-no.

The remarkable White House attempt to define which news organization is legitimate and which is not began in August, as Mr. Obama’s poll numbers began a dramatic slide. Suddenly the man who yearns to be the permanent president of the Student Body, loved by all and adored by the co-eds and their mamas, is rendered human after all. Anita Dunn, the director of White House communications, says that when the administration began planning for autumn (with important gubernatorial races in New Jersey and Virginia), the president “needed to be more aggressive in defining what the choices are, and in protecting and pushing forward our agenda.”

Rush Limbaugh, Matt Drudge and Fox News are big enough to take care of themselves, but the implications of what the Obamanauts are trying to do are scary, indeed. Brisk and even brutal opposition is something every president must endure; it’s a pity that Mr. Obama skipped school the day the class studied American history. The candidate insists that the critics who scoff that he isn’t really the messiah, but another Chicago politician, are just being cynical. This week Ms. Dunn insisted that the Obama image is intact. “He’s who he has always been.” So we are learning, to widespread sorrow.

Obama & “The Chicago Boys” Continue War on Business

Like we have said before, it is clear that Obama came into office this year with one mission: to destroy American business both big and small. It has become entirely evident now, that this man believes business is the root of evil in all of the world. This is why when his disastrous one term presidency is finished he will go down in the history books as waging three wars, Afghanistan, Iraq, and The War on Business.

Obama’s newest opponent is the Chamber of Commerce of all places. How attacking an organization which helps millions of small business owners in America, helps the administration gain favor, we have no idea. All we know is, all who dare to criticize our mythical leader shall feel the wrath of Rahm Emanuel and the boys. As Kim Strassel so accurately portrayed in her brilliant WSJ op-ed yesterday entitled “The Chicago Way,” Obama is waging a bare knuckle fight in the streets with his enemies:

They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That’s the Chicago way.

–Jim Malone,

“The Untouchables”

When Barack Obama promised to deliver “a new kind of politics” to Washington, most folk didn’t picture Rahm Emanuel with a baseball bat. These days, the capital would make David Mamet, who wrote Malone’s memorable movie dialogue, proud.

The Untouchables

The Untouchables

Obama=Nixon?

President Obama was championed during the election cycle as the man to unite a divided nation, and a true bipartisan leader. Yet, all of us who did any research knew that he was just another byproduct of the crazy liberal Democratic machine, who will stop at nothing to push their far left agenda on the American people.

Obama’s administration has taken the reigns from Bush and even further divided this country. It doesn’t help much when the administration likes to write 1,000 page healthcare bills in secret. The latest despicable action is what they are trying to do to Fox News, marginalizing it as “not a news organization,” “liers”, and “talk radio.” After all, how dare you ever criticize the omnipotent one!!!

Is this what we do in America? Use one’s power to destroy all those who dare to criticize you? This is what President Nixon, the last corrupt and divisive President did with the New York Times, which proved costly.

The problem is Mr. Obama, you are going after the wrong crowd. Although it may seem unfathomable as you go to your wine and cheese parties on the Upper West Side, the majority of Fox News viewers are either independent or registered democrats!
